The purpose of the role

What the role involves
The Governance Administrator will provide support across all areas of the work of the Governance and Legal Services team, to include advising and monitoring registered societies on procedural and regulatory requirements; AGM, committee and membership issues. The role includes secretariat support for The Kennel Club Board and The Kennel Club Breed Standards Committee.
The ideal candidate will have the following
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with committee work within a membership organisation
- Ability to prioritise, work on their own initiative and take decisions within tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, CRM database management
- Preferably degree educated or relevant experience
- Ideally an understanding of Kennel Club rules and regulations
We are looking for a Governance Administrator who has previous experience of committee work. An enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, someone who can work well under pressure, with proven organisation skills. Alongside a strong ability to work to strict deadlines and manage a varied and demanding workload. The role requires someone who is a team player and willing to help others when the need arises but also able to work independently on their own initiative. Knowledge of the competitive canine world would be highly advantageous.

What the role involves
The purpose of the role of the Production Officer is to develop and enhance educational content on our online learning platform, The Kennel Club Academy. Development focuses on judges’ education across The Kennel Club activities such as Dog Showing, Agility, Bloodhound Working Trials, Field Trials, Obedience, Rally, Heelwork to Music and Working Trials. Further development includes educational content for The Kennel Club registered societies and ad-hoc projects as they arise. The project oversees content creation across both pre and post production, including storyboarding and scripting, liaison with volunteers and experts. Additionally, copyright due diligence, through to coordinating and overseeing the filming day/s and providing feedback for edits.
The ideal candidate will have
- Excellent administration experience
- Keen eye for detail and ability to proofread
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience of working in a creative role
- Ability to create pre-production content including scripting/storyboard development and the development of project briefs and quotes
- Ability to conduct post-production reviews of filming outputs
- Strong IT skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Prior experience of providing feedback
- Understanding of copyright law

To deliver regular reporting against organisational KPIs on the impact of campaigns across the full range of channels. The role entails working closely with a large number of stakeholders and building strong and effective relationships.
